Finally, I made it back to Ponca. Last time I was at Ponca State Park was about 20 years ago. All I remember was all the trees. I wasn't disappointed this time either. You go into the park and the sky goes away. Sometimes you forget your in Nebraska.
Anyway the race course was a good one. Lots of climbing that kicked my butt and lots of downhill sections to make this course a must to ride again. I ended up finishing 13th which is about right with all the climbing. One of my weaknesses this year. My teammate Brandon who I rode up with ended up finishing 4th. Great job man. The only real problem we had(besides getting pulled over) was finding a Subway on the way back. We didn't find one until Fremont. It was worth the wait.
Next race is the State Games. The company I work for pays for the entry fee for any employee who want to participate in the games. Not a bad deal. Now if it only stops raining so I can start riding area 1. The trail is only 25 min away. Closest race course from my house. Maybe this weekend.
Early morning fog.
13th Place finish
Getting ready to head out. Next stop Subway.

I like the shot of the cop pulling me over for going 5 mph over. With the bikes on the car your 29er makes my bike look like a little kiddie bike.
