Windy!

Man was it windy this past weekend. No riding on Saturday because I was coming down with a cold but on Sunday I felt better so I thought I'd do a little spinning with Harp. The wind was brutal but that just makes you better. Right?

I wasn't the only one sick in our house everyone but Payton had something going on. So Sunday was a puzzle day. The kids had fun putting together about every puzzle we had and displaying them all over our kitchen floor, counter, and table. Most of us are feeling better now which is good because we want to get out when it warms up this week.

Payton and Trey showing off the JUMBO puzzles we have.

Heading into the wind.

Our fan club. HA!

I forgot to take a pic but Brandon and I started brewing beer and yesterday was the first sampling of out beer. On a 1-5 scale I'd give it a 2. Its a simple Mr. Beer kit and all you have to do is mix everything together then let it sit for about 3 weeks, really simple. The next step is for us to get away from the Mr Beer started kit and start using our own hops, malts and whatever else we can think of.

Bone Bender v4

Well today I made it offcial, I'm raicng Bone Bender. This will be my sencond year racing this race and I had a blast last year. If you like long laps (sounds like 10-13miles) and lots of rocks, then come on down and join me. Right now it's Steven and I from team Flatwater but I hope this guy and others join us from the team as well.

Finally, back on the saddle!

Headed out this morning with Harp and Steven for about 45 miles. Next weekend is team camp and I bet we get close to 60 in. That might hurt.

Also today was the first time wearing the new kits. I can't wait to show them off at Swanson.

At it again

Riding 4 weeks in a row, not bad for January. Steven and I did about 37 miles today. Weather wasn't that bad either.
Up early for this ride.
Meeting place Hope Church. I need to wash my bike.
Quick pit stop. Steven is zipping his coat if you're wondering.
Layered up for this ride. We stopped once to walk for a bit to warm up the feet and that was about it. Not  a bad morning for January.

Saturday

Little dirt, little gravel and little road time for my Saturday morning. About 35 miles of fun.

Cold

Pit stop for coffee. It was a cold early ride. 30 miles of gravel to start the year out.

Happy New Year!

Not a bad way to end the year. Early morning ride with Harp at area 7, OC with the fam for lunch, and hanging with the Harpsters drinking good beer to end the year out. HELLO 2012.
I'm thinking of growing the beard out one more month. Maybe 2.
I can't wait to start this project this year.

Post ride drink.
