Week 1

Well week one for training didn't go as plan. Monday I was able to get in the gym and that was about it. I've been busy at work the last couple of weeks so it's been hard to do anything after work. But after today things should be back to normal at the office, I hope anyways. Right now I plan on being in the gym tomorrow and maybe a gravel ride on Friday. I guess my main goal this week was to slowly get back into things and maybe next week start picking up the tempo.

One other thing I plan on doing this week is buying a trainer. I know everyone who uses one hates it but its a must for the winter time. The only thing I need is a road bike or a road type tire for my old mtb. One of the guys I work with Tim has a few bikes at his place and said I could use his old road bike until I get my own. I might have to wait till next year before I can do that.

Other than that not much else going on. I wanted to hit Maskenthine (the first race site) this weekend but with all the rain that's not going to happen. Maybe when we go back for thanksgiving it will be dry enough or frozen enough to ride. I really want to ride some dirt but I have a feeling those days are numbered for the year.

Right now its 12 and I need to be up in 6 hours. I want to start riding to work but in order to do that I need to get rest and wake up around 5 so I can do that. Crap! I also need lights for the morning ride in. My plan was to take gravel to town and then jump on the trails that lead to my office. I think that would be a 25-27 miles round trip. But in order to do that I have to get to bed earlier and up earlier.
