NEW TRAILS

It’s been over a month since I last rode my bike. The main reason for not riding was moving and my wife's grandma passing away last week. Jackie and the rest of the family are doing better now but its still hard to handle this loss. She will be missed.
Since Jackie has the week off I decided to go out for a quick ride. I figure it might be a good idea to take a shorter ride to get back into the swing of things again. So down the gravel roads I went. I went about 8 miles when I thought I'd check out the lake area that's next to our house. Since they have no trails in that area I had to find deer tracks or just make my own. I did have a few problems in the areas that they tore out trees but once I got closer to the house the trail or grass areas was easier to ride. It was kind of slow since I couldn't see much ahead of me due to the tall grass. Anyway I was able to make it over to our house with no broken bones. I found a few branch piles and dirt piles to ride over, other than that not much for technical stuff. Well as for now anyway.
Below are a few pictures of what my bike looked like after the ride and what some of the trailS looked like. I forgot my camera during my road ride so no pictures of that.

THIS IS WHAT THE TRAIL LOOKED LIKE FOR MOST OF MY RIDE.

Blazing trails: where no man has gone before!

We may have to get out this weekend and ride, even if its the mopac or jamaica.

It’s been tuff trying to get into my old routine again. I also feel like crap since I haven’t been eating, sleeping or training well this last month. May was a bad month but that’s the way it goes I guess. Hopefully I’ll be ready for the next race.

Who’s all going to Ponca?
