Road time

So for the last two days I've been training on a road bike. Bike Pedalers set me up with a BMC test bike for a little bit to get a feel for the road. Which happened at the right time. With the the rain lately the trails are muddy and the gravel roads just makes a mess of my mtb bike. Why dirty it if you don't have to.

So on Monday Brandon(who had the other BMC test bike) met up with me on the west side of town to do some training, crit style. This was all new to me and I was thinking if I was going to do a road race it was going to be a crit. Anyway we did about 20 laps of a good hard pace and 6 rest laps. I could tell a few times Brandon was ready to lay the hammer down but he slowed it down for me to catch up. I tried my best to go hard but Brandon is a strong and fast rider. In the end it was a good night for the first time on a road bike. The BMC handle great. Of course its a top of the line bike so that helps. Now I have the bug for a road bike. Of course it won't be a BMC but probably something like this Felt. Now I need to figure out how I'm going to afford one.

On Tuesday I was able to hit the road again. This time I just went on down the road for some training. I would of liked to ride longer but I needed to get home and get some stuff done. Today I'm not sure if I'm riding today. Looks like storms later so who knows. Saturday's race doesn't look good right now but I'm trying to think dry thoughts.
