RACE WEEK

First race of the season is this weekend at Stanton. The only thing is it might not happen with rain and snow in the forecast. I was told last weekend it was still wet from the storm before so I'm guessing it won't take much rain to call off the race. Anyway we should know after today.

As for last week. Hayden is doing well. She is off the ventilator and should be back in the NICU(neonatal intensive care unit) sometime today. Right now she is in the PICU(pediatric intensive care unit). The post operation room. She is improving much faster than her last surgery. She still needs a little help with her breathing but not much. Feedings are increasing faster too. After surgery they have to start her with a small amount of food to make sure she can handle it. She should be at her max soon and if she does that well then Jackie can start nursing. The sooner that happens the sooner we can come home.

I was also able to ride trails a few times last week. Swanson twice, Wilderness twice, city trails, and a gravel ride into the wind last night. I tried to figure out mileage today and it was about 70 miles from Tuesday to Sunday. I would of liked to had around 100 but for as busy of a week 70 isn't bad. Right now I'm really sore. My legs felt like crap last night and riding into the wind didn't make things better. If we still race I think Thursday and Friday will be recovery days. Hopefully that's enough time.
