Hayden

Hayden's surgery went well yesterday. Now we wait for her to wake up and start eating and growing. She's been awake off and on the last two days but not enough to pull the tube that helps her breath. If she only new. I'm still not sure on when she'll be coming home but I think this recovery should be faster than the last one. One other nice thing about this surgery is Dr Hammel was able to replace the artificial valve with a bigger one. So now it could be up to 5 years until her next surgery instead of one.

After Jackie took over at the hospital yesterday I drove out to Swanson to check out the trails on my way home. To my suprise it was dry. To ride dry trails was an awesome feeling. Swanson was the first real ride I had with my new 29er. It felt great on the dirt trails. I think I'm going to like this bike. Oh and as for the clipless pedals. WOW! They really do help.

As for the rest of the weekend I'll be in Omaha hanging with Hayden. Depending on how she's doing I might get away for a short ride or something. After sitting so long in her room its always nice to get away for a bit.
