What a weekend, between Jackie going to Nebraska City, Payton getting sick, and myself with a race, I really didn't know how things would turn out. In the end it all worked out, Jackie had a great time, Payton was feeling better the next day and I was able to get my race in. It was a fun weekend but hopefully we don't have to be all spread out like that again. Thanks again mom for watching the kids while I race.
The race was fun, they had a great trail to ride on. It was rough and hilly but fun. I also enjoyed the log crossing areas, I haven't done many crossings like that so I was a little worried when they were talking about the technical stuff for the race. Half of the time I had to get off anyways because of other riders in front of me having troubles with the logs. All I know is I had fun and I can't wait till the next race.
Everyone did a great job this weekend, Rob got 8th in beginners, Harp got 8th in Sport, Justin got 6th in open beginners and Adam had some troubles with his huffy and got a dnf. Adam got the bug though looks like he will have a real ride by next race. I can't wait to see what he gets. And to my surprise I was able to pull out a 3rd place finish in beginners open. It was a fun windy weekend and I can't wait till Swanson.
I have some pictures from Saturday that I will post later. They're mostly of Harp because Adam and Rob raced the same time as me.
Oh one more thing, for those who wanted to know how many were in my group it was 12. That was the first question everyone at home asked when I told them I got 3rd. No love I tell you.

Don't you love that? That was the first thing my family asked too. I told them there were only 6 racers in my catagory; and I got 8th place. It shows me they really didn't pay any attention when they don't even question that answer.

Ryan-When I talked to you last night I forgot I had to work at the shop tonight. Have fun without me.
