Stumpy and Wilderness

Rob and I took to the trails this morning and I think it went ok. We're down to one week before the first big race and I really hope we can do somewhat well. Today was also the first time with my new stumpy, the bike rode like a dream, I really like the full suspension feel. I'm hoping to get a few more rides in before the big race on Saturday. There also talking rain this weekend so It looks like paved trails next week for training. Oh well at least I got some dirt time in this week. I might have to check out pioneers again on Monday. Pioneers is nice because its rough and hilly, kind of gives you a feel for the dirt trails. So if anyone wants to head out there on Monday after work let me know.

Well I think the plan for the rest of the week is work out on Sunday and Tuesday and ride Monday and Wednesday. Take two days off and then get ready for some fun on Saturday. The wife is out of town this weekend for a scrapbooking retreat, so its me and the kids heading back to Howells were my folks live. Howells is like 30 min away from the race site so it will be nice to see everyone again this weekend. Oh yeah we're having Easter this weekend to, so that means some good eating on Sunday. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Its to bad the wife will miss out on Sunday but at least the kids will get MORE candy. Candy they really don't need. Thanks Grandma.

Well if I can find the camera I'll have to post my new ride. Thanks to the wife for letting me get the bike and for letting me pursue my new hobby.
